WWA Expands Senior Team

Carlos Arias joins as President/Chief Executive Officer

Walter Wilhelm Associates LLC (WWA) announced a further expansion in its executive team with the addition of Carlos Arias as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Arias joins WWA after a long career as a leader in the global apparel industry working with many of the largest US and European retailers and brands. Mr. Arias has held positions as President of Kaltex Apparel, President of Denimatrix and President of Koramsa. He is an iconic figure in the denim industry on a global basis known for his progressive manufacturing and management programs. Under his leadership, Denimatrix received the prestigious US Department of State Award for Corporate Excellence (ACE). Mr. Arias is a frequent speaker at industry events and is active in various industry associations. He has served on many industry Boards and is currently on the Executive Committee for Americas Apparel Producers Network (AAPN) where he previously served as President.

Walter Wilhelm made the announcement adding, “The entire WWA team is excited by Carlos joining the “family” and I am personally thrilled. Carlos has been a WWA client in several of his companies and I have both admired and learned from his management approach. In addition, Carlos totally embodies and embraces “the Walter Way” approach to relationships. We believe that a company can be a leader in professionalism and still be “nice” and have fun. Carlos will help us expand this heritage.”

Mr. Arias is joining the company immediately. He will operate out of Guatemala in the near term while helping WWA grow its already impressive business operations in Central America and aiding with expansion in South America. As President and CEO, Mr. Arias will also be active in the US market with a move planned for some future date. Walter Wilhelm continues as Chairman, teaming with Mr. Arias and the company’s core management team on expansion strategies.

WWA is a boutique consulting organization specializing in process refinement, technology implementations and executive placement in apparel, footwear, home textiles retail and manufacturing operations.
